Libel: Fani-Kayode Threatens To Sue Lai Mohammed For N5 Billion

The Peoples’ Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign spokesman, Femi Fani-Kayode has threatened to slam a N5 Billion libel suit on the spokesman for the All Progressive Congress, Lai Mohammed over some defamatory remarks.
Mohammed had alleged in a story published in the Nation Newspapers, and few others on March 3, 2015, that Fani- Kayode has mental illness, and that he abuses drugs.
He had said ” …We are seriously concerned that Mr Fani-Kayode may have unhinged , perhaps as a result of a relapse into an unhealthy lifestyle of substance abuse.
A letter to Mohammed by his attorneys, Ahmed Raji and Co, dated March 3, 2015, said ” we demand that you withdraw the said statement and render an apology to our client within seven (7) days of receipt of this letter.”
” You are also to enter into negotiation for damages as we have firm instructions to claim N5 Billion damages against you.”
