Lawyer Murder: Police Arrest Two More Suspects In Enugu

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Enugu state police command says it has arrested two additional suspects in connection with the recent alleged murder of an Enugu lawyer, Ejimofor Ozongwo.
Ebere Amarizu, the command’s spokesman, who disclosed this to AFRICAN EXAMINER in Enugu said the suspects were “nabbed by the operatives of the special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Enugu”
Our Correspondent recalled that the deceased was allegedly murdered by unknown gunmen on December 23rd in Enugu, where he was attending a wedding ceremony.
The late lawyer, who until his sudden demise was the Executive Secretary, Movement for the Creation of Adada state, hails from Okwojo Ngwo, in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu.
According to the PPRO,”the deceased who is said to be a lawyer, had some issues with his kinsmen, ranging from alleged land tussles.
“The tussle, later triggered a confrontation that brought about his alleged death on 23/12/15 having been allegedly beaten to death.
“A full scale investigations have commenced into the alleged incident with a view to probing into the unfortunate incident and unmasking further those behind the dastardly act.
Meanwhile, “the state commissioner of Police Abubakar Adamu Mohammed, has warned about dangers inherent in people taking laws into their hands, just as he has vowed to get all those involved in the alleged incident.
“Manhunt of other suspects has been intensified as surveillance is also intensified within and around Okwojo Ngwo to avoid further breakdown of law and order”. Amarizu stated
