Lai Mohammed, Experienced Information Manager – El-Rufai

By Ganiyu Nasirudeen

The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has described the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, as an experienced information Manager and a dedicated nationalist who is committed to the advancement of Nigeria’s interests.

The Governor made the commendation Wednesday during his courtesy visit to the Minister in his office, Abuja.

The former FCT Minister recalled that he and Alhaji Mohammed struggled together in the All Progressives Congress (APC), during which he (the Minister) was abducted once, just like he was arrested twice by the same people.

In a statement by Alhaji Mohammed’s SA, Segun Adeyemi, Governor el-Rufai said he came to wish the Minister well and to let him know that the thoughts and prayers of the people of Kaduna State were with him.

He called on Nigerians to give President Muhammadu Buhari maximum support and his team in their quest to get Nigeria out of the difficult situation to which it had been consigned by the previous administration.

Alhaji Mohammed in his response said he was ‘excited’ about the visit, describing Governor el-Rufai as ”one of our brightest and most courageous”.

He expressed confidence in the ability of the Governor to make Kaduna State one of the best states in the country.

El-Rufai’s vision the FG Spokesperson said was to leverage the unique power of information and culture to drive the change agenda of the Buhari’s Administration to ensure that Nigerians take ownership of the agenda, with a view to achieving a paradigm shift in the way they do things.

Mohammed added his Ministry would soon launch a massive, national reorientation campaign as part of the efforts to drive the change agenda, expressing the hope that the Government of Kaduna State would collaborate with the ministry in ensuring a successful campaign.
