Lagos Residents To Enjoy More Welfare Packages

Despite daily influx of people from various parts of the country into the city, the Lagos State government has renewed its pledge to deliver best welfare programmes to the citizenry.
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Lateef Aderemi Ibirogba, made the pledge on Wednesday, in Alausa, at a Ministerial briefing to commemorate seven years anniversary of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola in the state.
The Commissioner stressed that, in the face of the enormous social and environmental challenges confronting the sate, nevertheless, the government would forge ahead and ensure that nothing would make it to lose focus on the mission to eradicate poverty, achieve sustainable economic growth “through infrastructural renewal and development”.
He added that this remained one of the cardinal points of the state government and it would carefully enunciate policies and programmes to deliver to the people, “…with undistracted concentration and enthusiasm”.
Commissioner Ibirogba who thanked the press for the unflinching support which both the state government and his ministry have enjoyed so far from the sector, announced that the features unit of the ministry has produced 86 articles and published 196 in the various national dailies and magazines as well as online titles within the period under review.
