Lagos PDP Sacks Chairman Over Party’s Defeat At Presidential, Guber Polls
Featured, Latest Headlines, Politics Monday, May 11th, 2015By Niyi Adeyi – The Chairman of the Lagos State ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Tunji Shele, has been impeached, while Hon. Kamal Olorunoje was named the new Acting State’s Leader.
Hon. Shele’s impeachment was announced Monday morning at the GRA Ikeja State’s secretariat of the party.
His impeachment notice was endorsed by all the State EXCO members.
The reasons adduced by the State’s PDP for its immediate past Chairman’s sack, included failure of the party during both Presidential and State Governorship Elections as well as the alleged questionable manners he has been running the chapter.
