Lagos Begins Verification Of Driver’s License

As a measure to check issuance of fake vehicle papers, the Lagos State Government is set to commence the verification of Driver’s Licenses of all drivers and plying the metropolis through law enforcement agents.
General Manager of the Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA), Mr. Lateef Lawal, confirmed this Monday, at the Agency’s Headquarters in Ikeja, the State capital. Lawal noted “it has come to the notice of the State Government that some vehicle owners in the State are driving with fake drivers’ licence”.
MVAA boss advised drivers and vehicle owners to ensure that they obtain their genuine license from the agency, adding that anyone who applied and has completed the processing of his driver’s licence should visit the station where it was processed for immediate collection of the permanent drivers’ licence.
