Kwara Police Rescue Three Kidnapped Victims
African News, Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Thursday, August 26th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Kwara police Command on Thursday said it has rescued three persons, recently kidnapped in the state.
The command named the rescued persons as Devine Favour, Tosin Arogundade and Mariam Salihu, saying that the victims were rescued unhurt and has since reunited them with their families.
This was contained in a statement issued by the public relations officer of the command, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, in llorim.
The State Commissioner of Police, Tuesday Assayomo, said the victims were rescued through the collaborative effort of the police, vigilantes, local hunters and their families.
Assayomo assured the public of the commands efforts at mitigating criminal acts in the state.
“The command also wishes to reiterate its readiness to confront and bring all forms of criminality in the state to their knees.
“Effort is in top gear to get the abducted 300-Level female student of the Kwara State University rescued, as we are closing in on the suspects,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that on Aug. 23, three persons, one female and two males, were abducted at Elefo farm in Tafatafa village by four unknown men in army camouflage uniforms.
