Kwara APC Asks New CP To Stay Away From Partisan Politics
Featured, Latest Headlines Sunday, February 9th, 2014The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State has advised the newly posted Police Commissioner to the State, Ambrose Aisabo to discharge his responsibility without fear or favour by rising above tendencies that could make him partisan.
The Interim Chairman of APC in the State, Alhaji Ishola Balogun Fulani who gave the charge at a press conference in Ilorin, added that the party was ready to work with the new Police Commissioner, but had reservation that his posting might have ulterior inclinations.
According to Ishola: “We have it on good authority that the new Commissioner of Police has been allegedly posted to Kwara State at the instance of the frustrated members of the PDP in the State and to fulfil the PDP’s agenda of intimidating our members and frustrating our constitutional rights to free association, freedom of expression and peaceful assembly”.
The APC Chairman asserted that Kwara State as a State with APC majority will resist any attempt to use the Nigeria Police or any security agency to curtail the constitutional rights of its members.
He, however, urged APC members in the State to remain law abiding, steadfast and confident of continued victory in all elections as the party has shown that it is the most formidable in the State.
Alhaji Ishola described the APC membership registration in the State as very successful as many people in the State had formalised their membership of the party.
“While the collation is on-going, we can safely say that APC has more than One Million registered members in Kwara State alone. Like a tornado, APC has swept through Kwara State and established that indeed we are the only party worthy of the name in the State”, he said.
