Kwankwaso To Join Senatorial Race After Failed Presidential Bid
Featured, Latest Headlines, Nigeria 2015 Election Saturday, December 13th, 2014Oyewale Oyelola, Kano – Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso after he failed to pick All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential ticket is set to join senatorial race.
Kwankwaso who came second in APC presidential primary election held in Lagos on Wednesday, made this known while addressing his supporters in Kano on Friday.
He disclosed that his supporters have being calling him to run for senate after his failed presidential bid.
According to him, “Being in the Senate will help in no small measure in tackling the talkative who have nothing to offer for the unity of the country”.
The governor who defected to APC from PDP last year vowed to deliver all election in Kano state to APC in 2015 general elections.
Kwankwaso is from Kano Central Senatorial district where former Kano commissioner for works and housing in his administration, Abba Kabir Yusuf has been elected as APC senatorial candidate.
