Kogi: Wada, Audu In Tight Race As INEC Commences Announcement Of LGA Results
Featured, Latest Headlines, News From The State, Politics Sunday, November 22nd, 2015All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in November 21, 2015 governorship election in Kogi State, Prince Audu Abubakar is currently leading as Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commence declaration of results from 21 local government areas.
Our correspondent reports that Audu won in most of the local government areas in the Kogi West and East Senatorial Districts. While incumbent Governor Idris Wada of PDP won in Yagba West and Kabba-Bunu.
In Kogi Central Wada won in most of the LGs in the zone although with slight margins.
The INEC Returning Officer for Kogi guber poll commenced announcement of official results from LGAs 6am on Sunday.
As at the time of filling this report, INEC has declared result from Okehi, Adavi, Mopa/Moro, Ogori Mangonro, Ajaokuta, Koton Karfe, Bassa, Ijumu and Idah LGAs.
INEC officials early in the morning resolved crisis among party agents at the collation centre, as four PDP agents and two APC agents battled among themselves on who will represent their parties.
Electoral Law stipulates that only one agent should represent political party at collation centre.
