Kano Pillars Board Fires Coach Emordi
Featured, Latest Headlines, Sports News Tuesday, July 21st, 2015By Ignatius Okpara, Enugu – The board of Nigeria Premier League (NPL) defending champions, Kano Pillars, has sacked its coach, Okey Emordi, for poor performance.
The club slide in a statement signed by its media officer, Idris Malikawa, said the new board headed by Kabiru Baita approved Emordi’s dismissal.
According to the statement made available to Sports Writers Sunday, added that a way forward for the club will be charted Tuesday.
Pillars, presently occupied the 9th position on the domestic league table with 27 points, nine points, behind leaders Sunshine Stars of Akure and Enyimba FC of Aba.
AFRICAN EXAMINER Sports learnt that both players and fans of the Kano based club, had passed a vote of no confidence on Emordi, who led the club to win a 3rd back to back league championship last season.
