Kaduana Ebola Suspected Case Tested Negative

Authorities in Kaduna state have indicated that the suspected case of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) declared yesterday has tested negative after all.

The 19 year old suspect who is an undergraduate of the Ahmadu Bello Univesity (ABU), Zaria, has since been quarantined at the ABU teaching Hospital and subjected to laboratory test, after showing some symptoms of the virus.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Thot Dogo who informed that the teen undergraduate has been hospitalized in the last one week equally confirmed Tuesday that he has been tested negative to the deadly virus, adding that details on outcome of the test will be made available today.
