Jonjo Shelvey Declines FA’s Allegation On Use of Racist Language
Latest Headlines, Sports News Wednesday, November 16th, 2016BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Exactly two months after being accused of using racially abusive language on another club side’s player, Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has pleaded not guilty to the Football Association charge.
The 24-year-old England international, was charged following an incident during the Magpies’ 2-0 Championship defeat by Wolves on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Despite that his club in a statement declared it would not make further comment, until the matter is concluded, Shelvey has requested for a personal FA hearing.
