Jonathan appoints Onyeka Onwenu Executive Director, NCWD

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Queen of Pop Music,and actress, Onyeka Onwenu, as the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Women Development, NCWD, Abuja.
She was born in Onitsha, Anambra State on May 17, 1961. Previously, she was the chairperson of the Imo State Council for Arts.
The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) is the only Parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. It is a non-political not-for-profit organization established by Decree No. 11 Section 1(5) of 1995, and run by a Governing Council made up of eminent and distinguished Nigerians.
Ms Onyeka Onwenu is expected to resume duties immediately.
