As the 2015 general elections draws nearer, a group under the aegis of North Central Youth Movement for Good Governance (NCYMGG) has called on Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido to contest the year’s Presidential seat.
Briefing journalists in Jos on Monday, the group’s National Coordinator, Nafiu Yau, informed that the call was prompted by the quest for a visionary, respectable and responsive leadership in Nigeria.
“We unanimously adopted Governor Sule Lamido as our Presidential candidate due to his efforts and contributions he made towards the transformation of Jigawa State to modern standard and execution of many developmental projects which have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state and Nigeria”, Yau emphasized.
The group declared “Lamido has all the requisite and potentials, looking at his track record in the political sphere of this country by serving in different capacity”. Yau stressed that, among his political pairs within the ruling PDP, Lamido stands out.
The group has in the main time advised Nigerians to vote leaders with vision as well as credibility to take the country to the Promised land.
