Jigawa Deputy Governor Expelled After Defection To APC
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, Nigeria 2015 Election Monday, April 6th, 2015After cross carpeting to the opposition APC, the ruling PDP has expelled Jigawa State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Mahmud, over an action considered anti-party.
In a statement issued Monday by his Galagamma, ward, Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Kafinta, in Dutse, the State capital, decision for Mahmud’s expulsion, was taken by the stakeholders in his ward, having learnt about his defection.
The ward Chairman pointed out that the number two citizen in the State sabotaged the PDP during the recent National Assembly election, adding that the decision has received the blessing of his Gumel Local Council Area.
