Jerry Gana Heads Lar State Burial Committee

Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has constituted the National Funeral Planning Committee for the Late Civilian Governor of Plateau State and Elder Statesman, Chief Solomon Daushep Lar.

The Committee, which is to be chaired by Professor Jerry Gana, has Barrister Istifanus Gyang as Secretary.

This was made known in a press statement made available to African Examiner in Jos on Tuesday and signed by the Governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, James Mannok.

The statement further said that, other members of the committee are to be drawn from Plateau and Nassarawa States, the family of Chief Lar, the Presidency, Office of the Senate President, Office of the Speaker, House of Representatives, National Headquarters of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, as well as Associates from across the country.

The committee has been mandated to immediately commence preparations for a befitting funeral for one of the nation’s foremost statesmen, first national chairman of PDP and pillar of Democracy.
