Iwuanyawun Emerges Labour Party BOT Chairman As Party Elects New Excos

The immediately past national chairman of Labour Party Dan Iwuanyawun has emerged as new chairman of Party’s Board of Trustees.
The party delegates at the National Convention of the party in Akure on Saturday confirmed Iwuanyawun who resigned as LP National Chairman in September as BOT Chairman and elected Abdulkadir Salam as new national Chairman.
Abdulkadir Salam, the only candidate for the post of chairman was elected through voice votes. Other elected Labour Party executive are National Secretary,Kayode Ajulo; National Treasurer, Mrs. Oluchi Opara; National Publicity Secretary, Ebele Efendo; National Organising Secretary, Clement Ojukwu; National Woman Leader, Mariam Fumilola; National Auditor, Maria Lebeke; Financial Secretary, Hadiza Kishimi and National Youth Leader, Andrew Ugbadi.
Prominent stakeholders in the party; Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress however boycotted the convention.
