Iwobi Clears To Play Against Lesotho
Featured, Latest Headlines, Sports News Tuesday, March 30th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Nigeria Football Federation says that the Confederation of African Football has cleared Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, to play in Nigeria’s game against Lesotho.
NFF disclosed this on its Twitter handle on Tuesday, Few hours before the African Cup of Nations qualifier to be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos today.
“Update: @NGSuperEagles forward, @alexiwobi has tested negative after further COVID-19 tests were conducted,” the tweet read.
Few hours later, the Federation disclosed that Iwobi will feature in the game against Lesotho after he was cleared by CAF.
“Update: CAF clears @alexiwobi to play today’s game against Lesotho,” NFF tweeted.
The Eagles, who are already qualified for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, will play for national pride when they lock horns with the Crocodiles of Lesotho today by 5pm.
