In Ilorin, Jonathan Flaunts Achievements, Insists Nigeria’s Economy Strong, Healthy
Featured, Latest Headlines, Nigeria 2015 Election Monday, January 26th, 2015From Abdul Gafar Bello – President Goodluck Jonathan has again harped on the capability of his administration on delivering the strongest and most healthy economy.
The President made the reiteration Monday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital during his Presidential campaign in the North central state.
Jonathan disclosed that the CNN has just reported the World Bank approval, giving a clean bill of health to the Nigerian economy.
He therefore challenged and retorted if the international cable television channel recognized the Nigerian strong state of economy, who is the Nigerian economist so sharp that would contest the report as well as the global Bank pass mark.
He therefore urged the party supporters not be deceived anymore by the propaganda deployed by the opposition.
Mr. President who declared that he did not come to the rally to mention what his administration had done or would do, rather, came to renew his pledge to continue to work with the people of the State, adding he wanted “every Nigerian to be free without the fear of intimidation” where people lived as if in the zoo, forest or animal kingdom.
The agricultural sector, he promised would be improved to the level of creating wealth and having millionaires and billionaires.
Vice President, Architect Namadi Sambo who responded to criticism on the PDP failure on power, pointed out that the present administration inherited over 2000 MW, but now generated about 4000 MW and claimed some parts of the countries were presently experiencing between 18 and 20 hours stable electricity supply.
Sambo who announced that dredging of Rivers Niger has been complemented and vowed alongside other party leaders to win back, both Kwara and Nasarawa – the two states in the North central geo political zone.
Jonathan administration the Vice President, stated in the last six four years had added 20,000 kilometers of tarred road across the country.
The Senate President David Mark in his remarks affirmed that the north central zone of the country had unanimously adopted Jonathan, and therefore would deliver the highest number of vote for Jonathan and the PDP. Mark tackled the opposition APC, as he alleged it was pretending in its preach and desire for peaceful elections. He said the PDP would not allow itself to be rigged out in the coming polls.
The National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, lamented that it was a pity people did not appreciate what President Jonathan and his government have done to the country in the last six years.
