IGP Abba Tasks Police Officers To Boost Performance For Secured Society

Men of the Nigeria Police Force have been charged to internalize the vision and mission of the security outfit as well as renew their commitment to duty for a safe and secured environment, where individuals and groups can explore their potentials.
Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Suleimon Abba gave the task Wednesday while decorating newly promoted police officers in Abuja.
In a statement by the Force Spokesperson, Emmanuel Ojukwu, IGP Abba said the new promotion was aimed at “repositioning the Nigeria Police Force as a leading national, professional and efficient Law enforcement organization”.
Among the officers decorated included AIG Buhari Tanko, AIG Johnson Ogunsakin CP and the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the IGP and the Force PRO, Ag. CP Emmanuel Ojukwu. Thirty seven Police Commissioners were promoted in the recent exercise.
In another development, IGP Abba has hailed steps taken so far on sensitization and awareness campaign in the Police Divisions and formations on deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
He gave the commendation today while declaring open one day training workshop organized by the Force Medical Department in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Health on outbreak of Ebola in the country.
Abba however noted that the Force still needed to harmonize her operations with other police key operational units in line with the National Response Protocol. The workshop was attended by the Police officers across the state of Federation.
