IGP Abba Approves Posting Of 21 New Commissioners

The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Suleimon Abba has approved posting of 21 new Police Commissioners (CPs) to different states of the Federation.
In a statement issued Monday by the Force Ag. Spokesperson, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, Messrs Usman Yakubu, Isaac Achong, Paul Okafor, Hyacinth Dagala, Idris Umar, Saliu Garba, A.K. shodipo, Abubakar Marafa, Clement Adoda and Kayode Aderanti were posted to Nasarawa, Akwa Ibom, Kogi, Benue, Jigawa, Kwara, Oyo, Osun, Borno and Lagos states respectively.
Others according to the statement include: Usman Baba fdc (Delta); Dan Bature fdc (Rivers); Karma Hassan (Anambra); Titilayo Busari (Cross Rivers); Valestine Ntomchukwu (Bayelsa); Fredrick Lakanu fdc (Ekiti); Ademola Omole (Taraba); Olusola Amore (Niger); Ishaku Barau (Kebbi) states and Wilson Inalegwu, Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), Abuja.
The posting by acting IGP, which followed the recommendation by the Police Service Commission, the statement revealed was in line with determination and drive to reposition the Force for an improved service delivery.
Meanwhile, Abba has ordered full investigation of the last weekend death of a frontline journalist and Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspapers limited, Dimgba Igwe.
It would be recalled Igwe was knocked down last Saturday, around his Okota residence, a Lagos suburb by a hit and run driver. He died in a private hospital after surgical operations on him, due to several injuries sustained during the accident.
