IGP Abba Advocates Military Cooperation, Cordial Relationship
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, Politics Wednesday, August 6th, 2014The Acting Inspector General of Police Suleimon Abba has pledged to strengthen the existing cooperation between the country’s Military and the Police Force.
Abba made the promise during a visit and crucial meeting on Tuesday with the service Chiefs.
Consequently, the new Police Boss enjoined the Military authorities to continue to extend their support to the Force especially in providing adequate safety and security for the country.
In a press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Force Headquarters Abuja, ACP Frank Mba, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh and Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Kenneth Minimah congratulated the acting IGP on his appointment and promised to team up with him as they redouble efforts in all areas “essential to the war against terror, including training and joint Military-Police operations”.
In a related development, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Senator Bala Mohammed has expressed optimism during a courtesy visit to him by Abba that the acting Police Boss would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the current effort to ensure lasting safety and security in the country.
