Ibrahim Magu Replaces Lamorde As EFCC Chairman
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, November 9th, 2015President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa Magu as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mr. Magu, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police is to take over from Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde who is proceeding on terminal leave (from today) ahead of the formal expiration of his tenure in February next year.
Magu’s appointment was confirmed in a statement issued Monday in Abuja by the President’s aide on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adeshina.
Lamorde who had recently become a subject of controversy on various alleged corruption cases, was appointed by the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, in 2011, after the exit of his predecessor, Mrs Farida Waziri.
