I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E: Man Killed Self After Hacking Wife To Death In Enugu

ENUGU NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A 41 year old man, identified as Francis Okonkwo Uzo, on Tuesday, killed himself after hacking his wife, Mrs. Ozoemena Uzo to death in Enugu.

According to the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amarizu, who disclosed this to AFRICAN EXAMINER on Wednesday, the ugly incident took place at ”Nchatancha Emene Nike, a Enugu suburb.

He said: “on that fateful day, 15/11/16 at about 12pm, the husband of the deceased, had allegedly pounced on her over a yet to be established issue”

“In the process, he inflicted several degrees of injuries on the wife’s body, including her shoulder which allegedly led to serious bleeding all over her body.

Amarizu, added that the woman was later taken to hospital where she was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

“They were not expecting that their lives would have ended the way it allegedly ended in this world.

“They were reported to have been living in full life until the tragic incident of 15/11/16 in which Mrs. Ozoemena was allegedly murdered gruesomely by the husband in the afternoon.

“However, the alleged husband murderer was in coma and could not talk before the arrival of the security operatives.

He was promptly rushed to Annunciation Hospital Emene for medical attention and was later confirmed dead.

The PPRO, hinted that remains of the couple have been deposited at the hospital mortuary of Annunciation Hospital Emene.

Meanwhile, operatives of the Homicide sections of the state criminal intelligence and Investigations Department of the state police command have commenced a full scale investigation into the two incidence.
