I Have No Hand In Ekiti Guber Race -Omisore
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Friday, February 21st, 2014A leading governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state, senator Iyiola Omisore has assured governorship aspirants of the party in Ekiti state that he has no hand in the state candidate election process, advising them to direct their energies to democratically emerge at the party Congress .
Reacting to text messages and press statements on the matter, Omisore said he is busy with his own campaign in Osun state and that he is a respecter of the party constitution which States how party candidates are to emerge for elections.
” I advise those behind the messages to direct their energies to the primaries rather than dissipate energy on me, an aspirant who is very busy at his own campaign.
I am not campaigning for any aspirant. We are all colleagues seeking the ticket of our great party”, Omisore said.
He explained that since the flag off of his aspiration a couple of days ago, he has focused his energies on reaching out to party leaders and members to seek support at the party primaries already slated by the national leadership of the party.
” My candid advice is that we should go back to party members at the wards and local Governments to seek their support. As a democrat that is what I am doing in Osun . I don’t have the time to look at what is happening in Ekiti”, he said.
