Gunmen Kill Family of 4 In Early Morning Attack in Plateau

Gunmen struck in early hours of Tuesday in Plateau village killing four family members in Rantis village of Garshish District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of the State.
African Examiner gathered that the deceased persons included a father, his wife and two of his children.
Investigation by our correspondent revealed that they were gunned down around 4 am on Tuesday in the village while sleeping in their house.
It was further gathered that the gunmen invaded the village and were shooting sporadically at anything on sight, which resulted in the killing of the deceased family.
Confirming the incident, Media Officer of the Special Task Force STF responsible for the maintenance of peace in the State, Captain Salisu Mustapha said, four members of a family were killed in Rantis village of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.
He said so far no arrest has been made in connection to the incident, but added that “investigation is on to track down the perpetrators of this dastardly act with the view to ensuring they face the full wrath of the law.”
Mustapha appealed to the residents of the community not to take the law into their hands as STF is doing everything humanly possible to protect them and their properties.
