Gunmen Abduct Emir In Zamfara

Unknown gunmen have abducted the Emir of Bukkuyum, in Bukkuyum local Government Area of Zamfara state, Mohammed Usman.
The abduction, which took place Friday night, was heralded by sporadic gun shots by the invaders, who shortly after they stormed the monarchy’s palace and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
The Emir, during the attack was asked to hand over his mobile phone and moved into a waiting vehicle.
The State Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Magaji has confirmed the development Saturday adding, the whereabouts of the traditional ruler remains unknown.
