Governor Yuguda Donates Land for FIFA Goal Project in Bauchi
Sports News Friday, August 30th, 2013The Bauchi State Government has donated a piece of land for the FIFA for its Goal Project due to start in Bauchi State.
Speaking shortly after inspecting the site on Thursday, FIFA and Africa Development Manager, Francesco Brescoli,
thanked the Bauchi State Government for allocating the plot of land for the project, saying FIFA is very much ready to
finance the project.
He said, “Nigeria is a sports loving country that FIFA cannot afford to ignore and I want to assure you that the contract
document for the construction of the FIFA Goal Project will be sign in few weeks, adding that when the project is completed,
it would go a long way, in discovering a lot of sports talents and would promote sporting activities in the State.
Also speaking, The Nigeria Football Federation boss, Alhaji Aminu Maigari said the project would go along way in the
development of youths not only in the State but the entire North-East geo-political zone.
He said NFF and FIFA are grateful to Bauchi State Government for allocating the plot of land for the project,
saying there are three of such projects that are about to be constructed in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Governor Isa Yuguda reiterated the commitment of his administration to the development and
promotion of all sporting activities in the State and the nation as a whole.
