Featured, Latest Headlines, News, Uncategorized Friday, November 29th, 2013A video has gone viral on the internet where Edo state governor was caught on camera telling a crying widow to go and die, while she was begging the governor not confiscate her goods.
The video said it all:
The governor has since come under a very serious attack on the social media for making such comments
I am Sorry for my comments -Oshiomhole
Meanwhile, the Governor has regretted his statement saying he made the comments in anger.
The governor made the apology when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) paid him a courtesy visit in Benin.
Oshiomhole however warned that the issues of widowhood must be used to break the law even as he admitted the country has responsibility to take care of its poor citizens especially the widow.
As watched in the window, the governor had asked the poor widow to go and die, while pleading with him not to confiscate her merchandise, a comment that many believe was insensitive of the governor who is a famous labour leader and has used all his to fight for indigent workers.
