Governor Orji Congratulates Super Eagles for Qualifying for Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup

The sports loving Governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore Orji, has congratulated the Super Eagles for thrashing the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia 2-0 to qualify for next year’s FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Brazil.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Ajunwa, Governor Orji who thanked the country’s senior national team for putting up a superlative performance at the U.J.Eusene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State, said they did all Nigerians proud with victory over the hard fighting Ethiopians.
Governor Orji who watched the live match between Nigeria/Ethiopia in his sitting room at the Governor’s Lodge, Umuahia, said that since he returned from pilgrimage in Holy Land, Israel, that God has been taking Nigeria to its manifest destiny as the giant of Africa and a revered global player in the international community.
The numerous award-winning governor, who charged the handlers of the country’s national team to start early to prepare the players for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil, said Nigeria has a formidable team that can win the coveted trophy for the sports loving Nigerians.
“The senior national team’s patriotism and commitment to the Nigerian project has once again showed that our country is on the match to greatness. I implore all Nigerians irrespective ethnicity or religion to imbibe this same spirit displayed by the Super Eagles to enable us make progress as a country destined for greatness, he said.
