Governor Jang Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks Two Commissioners

Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has reconstituted his cabinet with the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Yiljap
Abraham, moved to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

In a statement made available to the African Examiner in Jos on Tuesday, and signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, James Mannok, it said Barrister Olivia Dazyam who was the Commissioner for Women Affairs is to head the Information and Communication Ministry.

The Statement further said Sarah Simi Yusuf who was in the Environment Ministry is to take charge of the Ministry of Women Affairs, while Dongsar S. Dongtoe who was in Tourism and Culture, is now the Commissioner of Environment.

It added that Mr. James Yakubu initially in the Sports Ministry is to head the Ministry of Youth Development, whose Commissioner Lohfa Bako have been relieved of his duties.

Also relieved of his duties is the Commissioner for Transport, Abdulhamid Gamzaki.

The nominees for Ministries of Sports and that of Transport, according to the statement, will be announced later.
