Ghastly Auto Crash Claims 3 In Lagos
Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, August 11th, 2015Ayo Balogun – Three persons have died as a passenger bus collided with a trailer at Ajah area of Lagos, Nigeria.
The passenger bus owned The Young Shall Grown was on a top speed when it ramped into an articulated trailer conveying an earth moving machine on Ajah-Epe Road around 10am on Tuesday.
The accident was a head-on collision between a passenger bus, with the registration number AAA 868 XJ and a trailer convening a earth moving machine.
According the Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Mr. Rasak Fadipe, the accident involved a passenger bus owned by ‘The Young Shall Grow, with 13 passengers on board, saying that the bus was at top speed when the accident occurred.
He said the articulated trailer was conveying the earth moving machine which was not properly wedged to the trailer, with a part of the machine shooting out of the vehicle.
He further said that the bus which was on top speed ramped into the part of the machine that shot out of the vehicle, with three male passengers trapped by the machine and died on the spot, with some others sustaining injuries.
