Ghana’s President Mahama Accepts Defeat; Congratulates Winner Akufo-Ado

Latest report from Ghana confirms that incumbent President John Mahama has conceded defeat in the just concluded Presidential election.
Mahama AFP reported has called and congratulated his first opponent and veteran opposition, Mr. Nana Akufo-Ado on his victory on the water-tight poll, which started Wednesday.
George Lawson of the New Democratic Congress (NDC) Mahama’s party, was quoted as saying “Yes he (Mahama) has conceded defeat.’’
The final outcome justified permutations by the pundits, who have predicted victory for of Akufo-Ado, as the outgoing President has been generally rated low in many Ghanaian sectors.
