Gas Explosion Rocks Imo Company, Kills Three

At least, three persons were feared dead Thursday evening when gas explosion occurred at Seamaster Industries Limited, Amaifeke in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
The indigenous company produces vegetable oil and table water.
According to the company source who do not want his name in print, the blast, may have been caused by a gas leakage, adding that apart from the dead ones, two of the organization’s staff were also critically wounded.
African Examiner gathered that the explosion was said to have blown out windows in surrounding buildings and sent debris crashing all over the streets of the area.
When contacted, one of the managers of the company, Hon. Izuchukwu Ohajimmadu, described the ugly incident as most unfortunate, confirming that it left three of its workers dead while two were seriously injured.
Another senior management staff who also spoke to our correspondent, attributed the explosion to electrical problem when the victims were atop the gas plant during the routine services to clean the blockade from the nuzzles.
