Gani Adams Frowns At Nigeria’s Unending Borrowing
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Thursday, September 30th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams has lamented Nigeria’s unending borrowings despite oil wealth.
Adams, in his independence anniversary message, stated that the nation was built on falsehood and he stated that the regions be given the autonomy so that they can develop at their own pace.
Adams noted that allowing the region autonomy would also allow them to build their security architecture to assist that of the Federal Government.
He said: “The spate of insecurity has created a lot of fear across the country. This has resulted in the loss of hope, especially, with the federal government’s unending borrowings.
“Many describe Nigeria as the Giant of Africa, but the irony of our present situation is that the federation was built on falsehood. This has affected the entire system.
“All regions are blessed. Development of natural resources, solid minerals, and agriculture can do the magic and help us make more money”, Adams added.
