FRSC Bursts Fake Female Driver’s License, Plate Number Racketeer In Anambra

Onitsha Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC in Anambra state Command, on Saturday, smashed a female driver’s license racketeering syndicate.

The suspect identified as, Mrs. Ngozi Onwuzulike, was nabbed along with one of her workers Miss Chinenye Ugwu, who said she is a marketing staff with the illegal company, known as Mega Web Investment Limited, Onitsha.

Confessing to the crime, Mrs. Onwuzuluike, a self-acclaimed graduate of Imo State University IMSU, said she acted in ignorance, saying she thought the product were genuine.

Curdling a-four-month-old baby, Mrs. Onwuzuluike who said she is a mother of three, also claimed that she went into the business out of frustration resulting from joblessness after graduation.

Her employee and accomplice in the alleged crime, Miss Chinenye Ugwu, who said she is from Nsukka in Enugu State, claimed she was employed two months ago, and that within the period, they have only issued out about fifteen of the fake plate, driver’s license, and vehicle papers to their unsuspecting clients.

Parading the suspects at the Unit Command Office premises in Onitsha, the Unit Commander, Assistant Corps Commander, Emeka Metta, said the reports from his Intelligence Unit operatives, reveal that almost all the traders at Bridge head Drug Market, Onitsha have fallen prey to the syndicate.

He therefore, warned the Nigerian public to be cautious and desist from cutting corners, stressing that shortcuts most times, lead to danger and disappointment.

Items recovered from the suspects include, suspected fake driver’s license plastic plates, vehicle papers, complimentary cards and a sales book, among others.

The suspects were later handed over to officers of the Department of State Services, DSS, Anambra State Command, who took them away for further interrogation and investigation.
