Fresh Bomb Explosion Kills 50 In Maiduguri Market
Featured, Latest Headlines Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015By Mustapha Abdul Salaam – Terrorists’ attacks rage in Borno State, North Eastern Nigeria, as about 50 people Tuesday, fell victims of a fresh bomb explosion in a pre-occupied and popular meat market in Maiduguri city, the Borno State capital.
AFRICAN EXAMINER Correspondent gathered from the residents that the explosives which erupted around 1.00 pm was placed underneath one of the butchers’ table in the market.
Among the victims of the explosion which seriously injured so many other victims, included traders, hawkers and those who came for daily shopping.
Not less than 30 people were severely injured in the blast, which eyewitness account confirmed was deafening.
Some of the injured and dead have been evacuated and conveyed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri.
This is about the fifth insurgents’ attack in Borno and Yobe States within five days of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration inauguration.
