Four Killed as Car Laden With Bomb Explodes in Lagos
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News From The State Wednesday, June 25th, 2014Four people were killed Wednesday night when a car reportedly laden with bomb exploded after running into a parked fuel tanker at Folawiyo Energy in Apapa, Lagos.
The explosion, which eye witnesses thought was ‘’the handiwork of the dreaded Boko Haram sect’’, occurred at about 8:00pm.
However, spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Ngozi Braide has dismissed the incident saying it was not a bomb explosion.
Ngozi, who confirmed that there was an incident in the area said the command is waiting on the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Apapa for full details.
The Lagos explosion happened less than 12 hours after 21 people were killed in an attack on a shopping mall in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
No group has claimed responsibility for neither of the attacks.
