Former Ondo PDP LG Chairman Assassinated

ONDO, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Okitipupa local Government area of Ondo opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Evangelist Niyi Pirisola has been assassinated.

The PDP Chieftain was said to be killed early hours of Friday, while returning home from a vigil. The late politician lived at Ilutitun, in Osooro area of the State.

The clergy cum politician was an ally of the incumbent State Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

His remains has been deposited at the Okitipupa General Hospital mortuary.
Ondo State South west Nigeria is to witness a gubernatorial election in November this year. The State PDP has been polarized just like at the National level.
