Former LP Chairman, Olaiya Oni Dies
Latest Headlines, News Monday, October 19th, 2015A Former Minister of Education and Founding Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) Dr. Olaiya Oni is dead. The late politician died Sunday in a hospital, in Owo, Ondo State, South West Nigeria, at the age of 74.
Oni’s health degenerated about three days ago and he was rushed from his Ise-Akoko home to an undisclosed hospital in Owo, where he later breath his last.
The Late politician was a former Secretary to Ondo State Government (SSG) in the Old Ondo state.
Family sources indicated that Oni, who is also a former Head of Service (HOS) has been having running battle with his health since 2012. This informed his relocation from Akure to his home town, Ise-Akoko in Akoko North East local government area of the state
