Former Jonathan Aide, Ahmed Gulak Declares Self PDP National Chairman

The Leadership crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Wednesday worsened, as former Special Adviser to immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Bar. Ahmed Gulak, made a self-declaration as the substantive National Chairman of the party.
Gulak who recently won in his suit challenging the occupation of the seat by the acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus made the declaration at the Wadata National secretariat of the opposition party, in FCT Abuja.
The former Presidential aide linked his action to court ruling delivered December 16, 2015, which held that the position was zoned to the North Eastern zone of Nigeria.
It would be recalled Secondus was hurriedly appointed the acting PDP Chairman after the resignation of the immediate past substantive National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu due to allegation of gross misconduct during the last Presidential Election.
The self-imposed PDP National Chairman urged the party members and leaders to support him in his new position.
Gulak’s announcement which was made in the National Working Committee (NWC) hall amidst party members and supporters among whom was former SSA to ex-President Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe.
