Former Head Of State Gowon Visits Buhari

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Former Head of State Gen Yakubu Gowon (retd) Tuesday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two Nigerian Leaders met behind the closed doors in Mr. President’s office.

It would be recalled another ex-Military Head of State Gen AbdulSalami Abubakar visited President Buhari and met behind the closed doors with him last week.

Other Leaders like immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan; Obasanjo had visited and met Mr. President in his office in similar manner.

Just last week, Noble Laurette Prof Wole Soyinka met in the Villa with President Buhari for about an hour.

Gen Gowon has been advocating for more attention on economy by the Buhari-led administration since assumption to office last week.
