Former Dep. Speaker, Nwuche, dumps PDP, Urges Supporters To Vote Rivers APC Guber Candidate, Peterside
Featured, Latest Headlines, News, Nigeria 2015 Election Friday, April 10th, 2015Former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Chibudom Nwuche, has joined the train of those jumping off the train of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC. Nwuche has decamped from PDP to APC barely two days to the governorship election.
Nwuche, who announced his departure from PDP, said he had to leave the party because “the place is corrupt and had short changed him several times”.
Continuing, he said his political friends, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ghali Naaba, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, had all moved over to the APC from the PDP.
Nwuche has called on his supporters to vote for Dr. Dakuku Peterside, governorship candidate of the APC.
He had shown interest in the senatorial ticket of PDP for the Rivers East district but claimed there was a conspiracy against him. But Nwuche continued to support the party until recently when he began to show withdrawal symptoms conspicuously absent at the party’s campaigns and rallies.
He even released a letter in which he outlined the ‘sins’ of PDP against him.
Nwuche’s younger brother, Ibiso, is seeking re-election into the Rivers state House of Assembly.
