Fire Destroys Shops, Food Items In Kano Market

A popular market in the ancient city of Kano was gutted by fire early hours of Thursday.
The inferno which destroyed property worth millions of Naira has been confirmed by the State Director of Fire Service, Mr. Balarabe Kabara. However, he did not give reasons for the devastating fire.
The inferno, eye witness accounts stated it touched many shops and destroyed many facilities in the market, including food stuff warehouses.
No casualty has been recorded so far in the incident.
