FG Declares Friday As Public Holiday To Mark New Year

In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Okon Akpanyung, the Minister, Lt-Gen. (rtd), Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau implored Nigerians to continue to promote the unity of the country.
He urged Nigerians, irrespective of their religious inclinations to inculcate the spirit of the season as exemplified by love, joy and peaceful coexistence.
