FG Announces Friday, March 18, For Ocholi, Wife, Son Burial

The Federal Government (FG) has announced Friday, March 18, 2016 as burial date for the late Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. James Ocholi, his wife, Blessing and their eldest son, Joshua.
The three died in a fatal auto crash last Sunday evening on their way to Abuja, along Kaduna-Abuja expressway.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babacir Lawal, while announcing the burial arrangement Wednesday at the valedictory meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), indicated that a committee set up by FG has met with the late Minister’s family and agreed on March 16,17 and 18 for the funeral events.
According to him, a service of songs has been scheduled for March 17 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja at 7 pm.
After, SGF disclosed that Ocholi’s remains, his wife and their son, would leave the National Hospital Abuja March 17, for the Minister’s home town, Dekina, in Kogi state, North central.
The wake-keeping will hold the same day in his native town, at 6pm.
Friday, March 18, is internment to hold at 12 noon in Dekina.
President Muhammadu Buhari has in the meantime announced immediate employment for the late Minister’s children who are university graduates and those still in schools scholarship, up to university level.
The SGF announced that two out of four children of the late Minister are University graduates, one an undergraduate of the Covenant University, while the youngest is in SS 1.
