Family Fixes Burial Dates For Pastor Dare Adeboye
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Friday, May 7th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The family of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has thanked Nigerians for the outpouring of grief and support from around the world over the death of Pastor Dare Adeboye who died on May 4 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
African Examiner writes that president Muhammadu Buhari; former Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo, and Goodluck Jonathan; State Governors; Christian Association of Nigeria; and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and many others commiserated with Pastor Adeboye and his family over the death.
In a statement issued by Pastor Leke Adeboye, who is Personal Assistant to the General Overseer, said: “With our hearts full of gratitude, we appreciate you, for standing by our family, in this period of trial. We are consoled, no doubt, by the fact that our beloved son has returned home, to rest in the bosom to his Maker and Father.
“Our confident assurance is rooted in the life of selflessness and sacrifice our son lived for Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
“Thank you so much for your prayers and words of encouragement.
“Our prayer is that, we will all make it to that glorious home, in Jesus mighty name.”
According to the programme, a special service will be held on May 9 at the City of David Youth Church in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where Dare was based.
It will then be followed with Thanksgiving Songs and Tribute on May 10, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm at the RCCG House of Favour, Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The farewell service will be held at 10am on May 11, 2021 at the Youth Centre, RCCG Redemption Camp.
