Familiarization Tour: New Enugu CP Visit DSS Director, Others
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Friday, August 20th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The new Enugu State Commissioner of police, Abubakar Lawal, has stressed the need for effective inter- agency collaboration /cooperation, in tackling the challenge of public security and safety in the state, saying it remains key in the fight against crime and criminality.
He stated this during a familiarization tour of duty to relevant security stakeholders in the State.
Lawal who also visited the State Director of Department of State Service (DSS), Habu Daluwa, at their Enugu Headquarters, had highlighted the importance of effective collaboration amongst security agencies in the State.
According to the Enugu police boss, the essence of the visit was to strengthen existing collaborative relationship between both Commands.
He therefore, extended his hand of fellowship to the state DSS Chief, while stressing that sustained inter-security-agency collaboration and cooperation remains the key to continued public security and safety in the State.
In his remark, the Director warmly welcomed and thanked the Commissioner for the timely visit and assured him of sustained and closer collaboration.
He noted that the prevailing security challenges of the time are such that no single agency can do it alone, hence the need for collaboration and cooperation.
The Command’s Spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, (ASP) said the Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by some members of his management team and other senior officers of the Command.
