False Asset Declaration: CCT Forfeits Orubebe’s Property In Abuja to FG
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Tuesday, October 4th, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Having been found guilty of false assets declaration, the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has ordered the forfeiture of a former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elders Godsday Orubebe’s property in FCT, Abuja.
CCT Chairman Justice Danladi Umar, in his ruling Tuesday, held that the former Minister erred, by failing to declare a property located on Plot 2057, Asokoro district of Abuja, while serving as a Federal Minister.
Consequently, Justice Umar ruled that Orubebe, should forfeit the property to the Federal Government.
